MyGGV: a community app for a village in Dasmariñas

The problem

A gated village has hundreds of households, but its news, buy-and-sell posts and questions were scattered across group chats where they got lost within hours. New residents could not find a block, and nobody knew who sold what next door.

What we built

A single app for the whole village, available on the App Store and Google Play:

• Interactive map of every block and lot in the village
• Marketplace to buy and sell within the community, by category
• Forums for services, events and safety topics
• Live chat and private messages between members
• Local weather with 24-hour and 7-day forecasts
• Games with village-wide high scores
• Notifications for replies, messages and announcements

Content moderation, abuse reports and account deletion are built in, as Apple and Google require for apps with user content. We keep shipping updates and monitor errors so the app keeps working on every new phone.
